Huge expectations were mounting upon the towns and A.R. Rahman fans were constantly involved in prayers, it’s turning out to be a bigger disappointment for them. Known for making a special record of bagging couple of academy awards in 2009 for his mind-boggling musical score in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, the Madras Mozart couldn’t manage to win ‘Best Original Score’ (127 Hours).

Perhaps, it was a tougher competition as almost all the nominations were worthy of bagging the awards that include Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech), John Powell (How To Drain Your Dragon), Hans Zimmer (Inception).

Unlike 2009 Oscars, it is a little disappointment for Danny Boyle’s ‘127 Hours’ as it is losing out on almost every nomination.

Thanks to A.R. Rahman!!! The Maestro had already kept us assured that he wouldn’t be winning Oscars this year, but will enjoy the evening.
