Bollywood's Taut Thriller in Tamil

The most celebrated Bollywood thriller ‘Race’ is dubbed in Tamil as ‘Pandhayam’.

Abbas-Mustan, the duo directors might be a new brand in Tamil film industry. But they hold special mention for having made Madhavan’s ‘Evano Oruvan’. Over therein Bollywood, they together have streaked continuous successes with more taut thrillers inspired from Hollywood movie.

Multi-starrer ‘Race’ starring Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy in lead roles is loosely based on Hollywood movie ‘Goodbye Lovers’.

The film at first was involved in some resentment and later gained grand response in box office. As a matter of fact, it was the only Hindi film in 2008 to have crossed 75days successfully in Chennai theaters.

What makes the movie more special is that it has whole lot of twists and turns after 30minutes from the beginning. It all starts as a sweet romantic melodrama later into an edge-seated thriller. Many producers and filmmakers in Kollywood wanted to remake the movie in Tamil. Witnessing such reception, the producers of UTV Motion Pictures and Moser Baer have decided to dub the movie in Tamil.
