Looks like the releases during second week of February are more off experimental projects. First it was Gautham Menon’s ‘Nadunisi Naigal’ that is acclaimed as an innovative effort by inside sources. It’s because of filmmaker’s pioneering attempt to establish something new in Kollywood. Starring Veera, Karthik and Sameera Reddy in lead roles, the film was recently passed with ‘A’ certificate and is scheduled to hit screens on February 11.

Now Nagarjuna’s ‘Payanam’ arrives as the contender as Duet Movies is planning to release the movie on the same Friday. Although there have been many films based on commandos saving the kidnapped victims, this one seems to be an elision as Radha Mohan has added some new elements. Much more than action, it’s gonna be an emotional entertainer as the film deals with the psychological traits of hijacked passengers.

Both the films will be released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu with Gautham Menon’s film tilted as ‘Erra Gulabeelu’ and ‘Payanam’ as ‘Gaganam’.
