It’s been couple of years; we have got a hit film from these actors. The reigning actors proved to be best on their respective potentials and kind of scripts they chose. But at later point of time went completely vague unable to clinch success.

For Vikram, ‘Bheema’, ‘Kanthaswamy’ and ‘Raavanan’ went to be average shows. Despites showing up with best performances in unique roles, the film didn’t fetch him best results. Post ‘Billa’, Ajith Kumar nearly took more than a year to have his next release ‘Aegan’ and a year later ‘Aasal’. Regrettably, it was a big letdown for his fan group. Vijay moved ahead on top gear with four consecutive films ‘Kuruvi’, ‘Villu’, ‘Vettaikaran’ and ‘Sura’. The results are very well known as it leads to several conflicts between the actor and distributors. Vishal’s overnight success went down to the least grade with continuous flops ‘Sathyam’ and ‘Thoranai’. However the actor could make a passable show with ‘Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai’.

Now these actors have geared on high with some different stuffs in their stores. The year 2011 is gonna be a phase of acid test for these actors as the roles they have chosen will be quite different from their previous ones.

To start off with, it’s Vijay’s ‘Kaavalan’ that will hit screens probably for Pongal. A very long time after, you’ll watch him as a soft romantic guy. The film has more realms of romance rather than Vijay’s usual traits of heroism, punch dialogues and promotion of self-ideologies.

Vikram has done such role earlier in the film ‘Sethu’. But this one will be quite different as it deals with a person with a mentality of 7-yrs old child. Director Vijay has mentioned that Vikram has showcased unforeseen levels of performance with this film. Needless to mention, he makes it a point of living completely under the skin of characterizations he performs.

This will be the second time Ajith Kumar will be seen in a multi-starrer movie. First time, it was ‘Ullasam’ that happened nearly before a decade. ‘Mankatha’ brings an ensemble of star-casts that includes Action King Arjun, Trisha, Vaibhav, Lakshmi Rai, Premji and many others. If the previous movies of Ajith Kumar had much prominence only for him, this one will be a contrast show as equal importance has been given to all characters.

Vishal acclaims ‘Avan Ivan’ as his magnum opus. Apart from the very well known fact that he plays the role of an eunuch, he assure that it will be off a different dimension. The actor is keeping his fingers crossed now.
