The month of December has been a heavy downpour of not just theatrical releases, but more audio launches that has kept the music lovers engaged over the period. Harris Jayaraj’s ‘Engeyum Kadhal’, Devi Sri Prasad’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s ‘Vaanam’ and James Vasanthan’s ‘Easan’ have been released within a period of 2 weeks.

But it’s Harris Jayaraj’s ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ is topping the charts with maximum sales. When it comes to ‘Vaanam’, the sales executives admit the real fact saying, “Yes, the single track ‘Evvandi Unna Petha’ is a chartbuster, but it’s highly downloaded in internet. The trend of single track releases is something new to Kollywood. The single track album of ‘Vaanam’ costs Rs.35. Even if there are 5 more songs, the complete cost goes up to Rs. 180. Even A.R. Rahman’s ‘Endhiran’ and ‘Raavanan’ were sold out for Rs.125.”

James Vasanthan’s ‘Easan’ and DSP’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ has no shades of successful business.
