Action King Arjun had no big releases till the date and yet the distributors claim him to be a minimum guarantee hero. The actor’s previous films ‘Durai’ and ‘Thiruvannamalai’ were box office disasters while ‘Bommalattam’ too wasn’t an exception. Despites winning critical acclaims, the film didn’t do well at box office.

This year’s release ‘Vande Mataram’ was again a below average fare while his Telugu movie ‘Rama Rama Krishna Krishna’ has been declared as a hit.

Arjun’s upcoming film ‘Vallakottai’ was supposed to hit screens by September itself, but was delayed due to trade issues. Director Venkatesh on releasing the film for Diwali is confident that it wouldn’t be affected by other releases like Mynaa, Uthama Puthiran and Va Quarter Cutting.

The distributors and trade analysts have mentioned that Arjun always attracts universal audiences and his films are watched at least once. Since there aren’t any big releases for Diwali, his film ‘Vallakottai’ has some chances of winning the race
