Looks like Malayalam film industry has gone completely inimical towards Kollywood. Before few months, we had the producers of Mollywood not letting any Tamil films released on the same day of universal release and allowed movies to hit screens only after couple of weeks.

Now, the members of Malayalam film industry have raised their voices against Kerala Government honoring Kamal Haasan for his involvement in films over 50 years.

Addressing the media channels, actor Innocent- president of Malayalam Actors Association has said, “Kamal Haasan deserves all honors for his unparalleled endeavors in film industry. But at the same time, our very own Malayalam film industry has lots of film personalities having been involved in showbiz for 50 years. The Kerala Government should have first recognized them. We as the members of actors’ association have decided not to take part during the felicitation ceremony. But we don’t want to impose them on any actors. The interested actors can take part in this occasion at their own interests…’

Actor Thilakan, who was recently dismissed from the actors’ association, advocated Kamal Haasan saying that if Tamil Nadu audiences had felt the same, MGR would have never made it bigger as an actor or as a chief minister.
