A R Rahman's Fever To Continue In 2010

The academy award winner has more releases in 2010 and his fans are completely overjoyed

Although 2009 happened to be the most memorable year for A.R. Rahman fans for his continuous triumphs on global panoramas, the Indian fans were missing him. This year, he is back with a big bang as his albums have been continuously topping the charts.

It all started with his ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’ and its Telugu version ‘Ye Maaya Chesavo’ followed by three versions (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) of Manirathnam’s ‘Raavanan’. His direct Telugu release ‘Komaram Puli’ is making high waves in South India and even the Hindi fans have gone crazy over the newfangled musical touch.

Of course, his magnum opus ‘Enthiran’ is making it big and bigger on international charts while the Hindi version will be released shortly.

If you ever thought, this would be is for this year, you’re wrong. The Madras Mozart has more than half dozen of musical albums amongst which at least 3 will be released by end of this year.

The Hindi film ‘1-800-Love’ featuring John Abraham in lead role and is directed by Abbas Tyrewala of ‘Jaane Ya Tu Jaane Na’ and multi-lingual 3D project ‘Sultan - The Warrior’ and another Hindi film ‘Rock Star’ starring Ranbir Kapoor in lead role. This film will be directed by Imtiaz Ali (Maker of evergreen romantic blockbusters ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’.

Apart from these movies, he has signed international projects that include ‘The Desire’, ‘Nair-San’ and a Malayalam movie titled ‘Yodha 2’. It’s worth mentioning that A.R. Rahman had scored music for ‘Yodha’ starring Mohan Lal in lead role.
