Prakash Raj, Pooja bag the honors again

The 57th South Indian Filmfare Awards had Prakash Raj bagging Best Actor for ‘Kanchivaram’ and Pooja for ‘Naan Kadavul’.

The Saturday’s evening wasn’t no more an ordinary affair as Nehru Stadium had coming together of more celebrities of Indian film industry. Prakash Raj walked away with the ‘Best Actor Award’ as filmmaker Shankar and Vidhya Balan honored him with the trophy. Pooja’s astounding show in ‘Naan Kadavul’ had its result as she won ‘Best actress Award’.

Following the innumerable honors National Awards, Vijay Awards, it was yet another turn for the filmmaker Priyadharshan to fetch ‘Best Director’ for ‘Kanchivaram’.Nadodigal has been awarded as the best movie. Harris Jayaraj was felicitated as the Best Music Director for ‘Ayan’ while Karthik for his mellisonant spell for ‘Vizhi Mudi Yosithal’ from the same album was presented ‘Best Male Playback Singer’ and Chinmayee for ‘Vaarayo Vaarayo’ in Aadhavan.

Well, for the categories in Telugu and Malayalam, most of the awards were won by ‘Pazhassi Raja’ and ‘Magadheera’.
