AR Rahman’s astonishment on the well-lit stills of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’!

Having great expectation on the dream project which Mani Ratnam was always ready to make an epic story on screens, there was a speculation spreading out to us that a huge star-studded cast of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ includes Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Jayaram, Aswin Kakumanu, Arjun Chidambaram, Kishore and others as part of the grand film. However, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Malayalam actor Lal and Vikram had admitted about their association in this Mani Ratnam’s film in earlier instances to media, the team had sneaked out the title look of the film recently such that it was also announced that the filming is going on as a full swing in the locations of Bangkok with the bankrolling of Subaskaran’s ‘Lyca Productions’ in association with ‘Madras Talkies’. Followed by that, a hot update has been sneaked out by the Music Composer AR Rahman in his official twitter handle by stating that, “Last week DOP Ravivarman shared some stills from #ManiRatnam’s #PonniyinSelvan ..looks totally lit” From this update, it seems like the team is all set to present on screens with an absolute visual treat for the audience through this grand period film.

Editing is done by Sreekar Prasad whereas the screenplay was written by Mani Ratnam and Kumaravelu. With the art direction done by Thotta Dharani along with Vashik Khan, the dialogues are penned by Jayamohan. Stunts for this epic drama are choreographed by Sham Kaushal.
