‘Natpe Thunai’, ‘Uriyadi 2’, ‘Kuppathu Raja’, ‘Ganesha Meendum Santhippom’, ‘Kudimagan’, ‘Majili’, ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’, ‘The Sound Story’ and  ‘Shazam!’ are releasing on theatres this week.

Usually listing out the number of movie releases every week, this week has 9 movies piling up to drain out on the screens. The movies are as follows –

1) ‘Natpe Thunai’ –

Bankrolled by Sundar C’s ‘Avni Movies’ and directed by Parthiban Desingu, ‘Natpe Thunai’ involves ‘Hiphop Tamizha’ Adhi, Anaga, Karu Pazhaniappan, Vignesh Kanth, Kausalya, ‘Eruma Saani’ Vijay, Harish Uthaman, Shaara, ‘Palaya Joke’ Thanga Durai, Ajay Ghosh, Sutti Aravind, Vinoth, Guhan, ‘Put Chutney’ Raj Mohan, Bijili Ramesh and Ashwin Jerome for playing the important roles. Music composed by Adhi, this sports-friendship film has the cinematography and editing of Aravinnd Singh and Fenny Oliver respectively. After ‘Meesaya Murukku’, this Adhi starrer film is much expected among the youngsters and his fans for the release on April 4th.

2) ‘Uriyadi 2’ –

Directed by ‘Uriyadi’ fame Director Vijay Kumar and bankrolled by himself under the banner of ‘Souvenir Productions’ in association with Suriya’s ‘2D Entertainment’, ‘Uriyadi 2’ involves almost with the same cast and crew of ‘Uriyadi’ which includes Vijay Kumar, Shankar Das, the new face ‘Vismaya’ from Kerala, ‘Madras Central’ Sudhakar and Abbas are playing the prominent roles. Music is composed by ’96’ movie fame music director and the founder of the popular music band ‘Thaikkudam Bridge’ Govind Vasantha. Censored with ‘U’ censor certification and approved to release on April 5th, the cinematography is handled by Praveen Kumar N whereas the editing is done by Linu M such that the distribution rights of ‘Uriyadi 2’ have been acquired by ‘Sakthi Film Factory’.

3) ‘Kuppathu Raja’ –

Venturing into direction for the first time, dancer and choreographer Baba Bhaskar has involved G V Prakash Kumar, Parthiban, Palak Lalwani, Poonam Bajwa, M. S. Bhaskar, Yogi Babu and many others in the upcoming film, ‘Kuppathu Raja’ with the bankrolling of ‘S Focuss’. Stated to narrate the incidents happening in slam, the camera for ‘Kuppathu Raja’ has been handled by Mahesh Muthuswami whereas editing is done by Praveen K L. Music composed by G V himself, the film is getting ready to flow in screens on April 5th.

4) ‘Ganesha Meendum Santhippom’ –

Involving ‘Bigg Boss 1’ fame actress Oviya, Prithvi Rajan, Devika Nambiyar, Singam Puli, and I M Vijayan, the romantic comedy film ‘Ganesha Meendum Santhippom’ is directed by debutant Ratheesh Erate. Bankrolled under the banner of Arun Vikraman Krishnan’s ‘Harigeetha Pictures’ coproduced with ‘Skyway Pictures’, ‘Ganesha Meendum Santhippom’ is releasing in theatres on April 5th. With the cinematography of Vipind V Raj and the editing of P Sai Suresh, the music for this film is scored by NLG Sibi.

5) ‘Kudimagan’ –

Produced under the banner of ‘Jeevamalar Sathieshwaran Movies’ and directed by C. Pethan aka Sathieshwaran, ‘Kudimagan’ involves Jaikumar, Nanditha Jennifer, Sriram Parthasarathy in the important roles. With the musical composition of SM Prashaanth, the cinematography and editing of this film is done by CT Arulselvan and KR.Selvaraj respectively. Stated to have a good message for society, ‘Kudimagan’ is releasing in screens on April 5th.

6) ‘Majili’ –

Directed by ‘Ninnu Kori’ fame Shiva Niravana and bankrolled by ‘Shine Screens’ which had produced ‘Krishnarjuna Yuddham’ previously, ‘Majili’ involves the romance of ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ pair, the real life married couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha in the main lead roles whereas the film also involves Divyansha Kaushik, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali and Subbaraju playing the supportive roles. Cinematography for ‘Majili’ is done by Vishnu Sharma. Music is composed by Gopi Sundar and with the background scoring of S S Thaman whereas editing and art direction for this romantic drama is done by Pravin Pudi and Saahi Suresh respectively. Having the genre of romance, ‘Majili’ is much expected in screens on April 5th.

7) ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ –

Starring John Abraham and Mouni Royin the lead roles, the film ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ directed by Robbie Grewal involves Jackie Shroff, Sikander Kher, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and many others in the prominent roles. Jointly produced by ‘Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ and ‘Kyta Productions’, this espionage action thriller film has the camera handling of Tapan Tushar Basu and the editing of Nilesh Girdhar. With the musical composition of Ankit Tiwari, Sohail Sen, Shabbir Ahmed and Raaj Aashoo, the background scoring for this action film is done by Hanif Shaikh. Much welcomed for the ultimate action sequences which John Abraham’s films have, ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ is releasing in screens on April 5th.

8) ‘The Sound Story’ –

Exclusively made with the sound designing and acting of Resul Pookutty, ‘The Sound Story’ is directed by Prasad Prabhakar with the bankrolling of Rajeev Panakkal’s ‘Palmstone Media’. Stated to have live recording the sound of Pooram festival featuring 300 artists and crowd, ‘The Sound Story’ is releasing on April 5th in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

9) ‘Shazam!’ –

Directed by ‘Lights Out’ fame David F. Sandberg and produced under the banners of ‘New Line Cinema’, ‘DC Films’, ‘The Safran Company’, ‘Seven Bucks Productions’ and ‘Mad Ghost Productions’, ‘Shazam!’ is a superhero film which is based on the DC Comics character ‘Shazam!’. Having Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Djimon Hounsou and many others in important roles, this superhero film has the background scoring of Benjamin Wallfisch. With the cinematography and editing of Maxime Alexandre and Michel Aller, ‘Shazam!’ is hitting the screens on March 15th.
