Following Rangi Taranga, U-Turn and Shivalinga, Kirik Party from Kannada film industry gets positive response in Chennai.

With Kannada film industry always proving to be small when compared to the business of other regional industries, few movies have managed to break the language and boundary barriers. It all started with ‘Lucia’, the successful strokes continued with Rangi Taranga that completed 50 successful days in Chennai alone. Following this P Vasu’s Shivalinga too managed to make a decent run, which is getting a remake release with Raghava Lawrence and Ritika Singh in February. During this interim, Pawan Kumar’s U-Turn turned to be a huge hit that had a fantabulous screenplay and concept. The film’s remake rights in Telugu and Tamil is already grabbed by Samantha, which can be expected anytime on floors by next year. The journey of successful hits from Sandalwood continues with the recent release Kirik Party, which features Rakshit Shetty in lead role. The film was released in many centres of Chennai and few major cities of Tamil Nadu opening to positive reviews. It’s a college based story that has garnered decent response in many centres. It is noteworthy that Rakshit Shetty ‘Ulidavaru Kandante’, which is now remade in Tamil featuring Nivin Pauly and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles.
