The shuddery prickling and when did you feel it last time in theatres with spines chilled. When eeriness intensified, it wins acclaims, but with the essence to sparkle the smiles, success is written all over it. Horror-humour, the safest bet of producers and distributors and this lucky genre finds one more to pop up the champagnes.

Horror-comedy and festive vacations are the rarest yet finest combination, which if it happens gains the relentless beats of drums in box office. If you’re someone who has watched Prema Katha Chitram, maybe even the very own producers, they’ll have the surprisal fascination as Sam Anton has offered new colour to this remake.

Witticism dominates the space and when it has a GHOST, the theatre would never have its sounding diminish and GV Prakash-Nikki Galrani starrer Darling will not be an exception.

The fun-filled lines like Ghost on Video Chat saying “I am coming for you” and Ghost Gopal Varma (played by Naan Kadavul Rajendran) replying, “I am waiting”, might be a treat for Vijay fans as it lifts from Thuppakki intermission sequence.

Verdict: Engaging with fun ‘n’ horror.
