Production: Nemichand Jhabak, Hitesh Jhabak
Direction: Magizh Thirumeni
Cast: Arya, Hansika Motwani, Ramana, Ashutosh Rana
Music: Thaman
Cinematography: SR Satish Kumar
Editing: NB Srikanth

After the silent hit "Thadaiyara Thaaka" the director has made his outing to the coastal areas with the caption "Captain of the Ship" with Arya and Hansika in the lead. Meaghamann is one the expected movies after Raja Rani for Arya. Will Meaghamann satisfy the expectation is the question all about.

Story:
The story starts with the introduction of Arya and Ashutosh were Arya seems to be a under cover cop working with him and waiting for a right time to catch Ashutosh, while he searches for the informer inside his gang to find out many mysteries. Who catch whom is the story which is said in a neat and perfect screenplay.

Analysis:
From the point of start and from the point to the end credits, Meaghamann is an in and out action entertainer. Story starts right from the first scene and travels in a steady pace till the end. Magizh has not compromised with unwanted punch dialogues, comedies and un realistic heroism and has given exactly what the story asked for. Characterization has played a major role in the movie, were everyone's character has been well designed and well potrayed.

Complete action, bar dance, intimate song between hero and heroine may create family audience to a bit hesitation, but overall Magizh should be very much appreciated for such a packed screenplay. Back ground score, Cinematography and Editing are pretty much excellent when compared to the recent commercial flicks.

Performance:
As Magizh said in an interview last year, Arya has been portrayed in a different style and with different mannerism. Hansika comes on screen with minimal presence but does her job perfectly. Ashutosh Rana who appears to be the main villian does not have a gun in hand and does not shout hard but delivers the correct threatening which a villian really needs. Other star cast have done their part well. The movie happens to be in the surroundings of Goa and Mumbai and the card which was displayed at the first for speaking Tamil is very much appreciative.

What works:
1. Screenplay and Making
2. Stunt Choreography
3. Technical aspects along the perfect BG score
4. Characterizations

What doesn't
1. Not a complete family entertainer
2. Under cover cop makes us think of many previous hit movies.

Verdict:
Though many under cover cop movies comes to mind, Meaghamann will stand separate from them with the crisp and clear screenplay.

One Liner:
Magizh proves to be the Captain of the Ship.

Rating: 5.5/10
