If you look up for words to depict his versatility in filmmaking and thought provoking bold themes in movies, you’ve to go through several reference across the world’s acclaimed dictionaries and yet wouldn’t find the apt one. Such has been his ennobled deeds bestowed to Tamil cinema.

Veteran filmmaker K Balachander (84) passed away before few minutes at a private hospital after prolonged illness.

When he made his debut in Tamil cinema as a filmmaker in 1965, not many knew that he is here to rule the Tamil cinema with realms for 5 decades. Perhaps or undoubtedly, a rarity that many filmmakers of members of film fraternity would have not envisaged about.

He continued to deliver some rigid themes that really appalled the millions and yet was perceived with huge response. Even till his last days, he wanted to make and act in films and one such illustration was playing a crucial role in Kamal Haasan’s Uthama Villain.

He is highly regarded in Indian cinema for introducing some of the century’s best actors like Superstar Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan.
