With the season filled with new themes and genres, horror movies taking the front seat and romance indulged with adult themes, Jeeva Shankar invites us for a poignant love story titled Amara Kaaviyam. It’s a poem and the songs by Ghibran have embellished our hopes with more expectations. It is a rarity to see that songs become the major highlight overshadowing the actors and other elements of a film. Each and every song in this film has already become a big hit.

Amara Kaaviyam is based on real life incidents witnessed by director Jeeva Shankar who earlier made his maiden debut with Vijay Antony’s Salim. It is noteworthy that ‘Naan’ was an inspiration from a real life character that Jeeva Shankar had seen and it was from an office boy who had created a fake identity to the world. Getting on with this film, Jeeva Shankar says that he was shocked by an incident that happened during his childhood and when he became a director, he wanted to make a film based on it.

Amara Kaaviyam is set in backdrops of 80s, where the film revolves around the adolescent love of a boy and girl. It deals with how the parents of previous generation had reacted towards such instances.

Arya’s young brother Sathya whose debut film ‘Kadhal 2 Kalyanam’ is still remaining inside cans has played the lead role and Mia George, a prominent Malayalam actress has played the female lead and their beautiful chemistry is expected to the main pillar of this film.

Those who have watched the film have been running out of words and went through speechless moments and this includes many from the film industry including Nayantara.

The film is hitting screens tomorrow (September 5) and is produced by Arya under the banner of The Show People.
