From the maker of some of the evergreen commercial blockbusters like Vaalee, Kushi and New, here is the one that had kept the audiences on wait for a very long time. Isai has been under making for a very long time, nearly for a span of two years and now we have the official trailer unveiled on the festive occasion of Vinayaga Chathurthi. The film is directed by SJ Suryah, who plays the lead role and has made his debut as music director. The film is a musical drama that encompasses the rise of a budding music director and the fall of a reigning musical king. The trailer has a running length of 2minutes 20 seconds and there is a lot of jarring effect and it loses the essence of the basic theme called 'MUSIC'. More focus has been drawn on the egoistic clashes between the music directors, but nothing much to call upon the music. SJ Suryah is seen in three different shades as a budding music director, the rise of fame and suddenly turning into a psychotic one. Sathyaraj seems to have scored a lot with his characterisation. The final dialogue from Sathyaraj of the trailer shows that he is someone not able to give up his realms.

Verdict: Musical theme is little missing, but egos of music directors
