Before 20 months, Tamil cinema was completely banking its hopes on certain comedy actors and character artistes to perform baddie or important characters. In fact, audiences were so much bored of watching the same actors repeatedly seen in all the movies. As a sudden gold rush, things took a change with the emergence of short filmmaker. Attakathi Dinesh was seen playing small roles in many movies, but he become the first of its kind actor teaming up with short filmmaker gang and took a change with Attakathi. Aftermath the success, it was Vijay Sethupathi, yet again an actor seen in small roles and despite his film Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru winning National award, he remained away from spotlights. With Pizza, everything changed and there is no turning back for the actor.

Karuna was indeed a showstopper as his sense of humour was so much different and he is now the favourite of every child and old grannies for his outstanding performance in Yaamirukka Bayamey. Kaali Venkat is not an exception as his roles in both humour and serious characters have been appraised with good values. His performance in Vaayai Moodi Pesavum was one of the major highlights in the film. Bobby Simha is the rocker of season hitting sixes all through the show.

He made a small appearance in Pizza and his sudden transition in Soodhu Kavvum was a cool show. In Neram, he appeared as a hilarious villain and now he has created a gruesome fear in us with the teaser of Jigarthanda, directed by Pizza fame Karthik Subburaj.
