'Red Cross Day' rediscovered on Karthi B'day

It never seemed like a birthday, but a great social event and many assumed this to be a 'Red Cross Day' that is favoured for the well being of poor and needy. Karthi fans made sure that their star's birthday would never be a stereotypical one, but with much significance to others. All over Tamil Nadu, the fans organised blood camps, welfare camps, distribution of home needs to the outside Chennai patients at Royapettah hospital undergoing treatment. Apparently, the children at Kaakum Karangal NGO at Tiruvanmayur were benefitted with Karthi fans distributing food, notebooks, pens and stationary items for their well being. Around 1000 people were served with free food at Marudheeshwar Temple on this occasion. Apart from Chennai, the socially welfare celebration on the birthday of Karthi were held in other parts of Tamil Nadu, including Pondicherry, Coimbatore, Kerala and Mumbai as well.
