Filmmaker Chimbu Devan jumps into yet another comedy caper with ‘Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum’ that stars Arulnidhi and Bindhu Madhavi in lead roles. Natarajan Sankaran has delivered some good numbers and here’s an exclusive look on the songs.

Bachelor Enakke
Voices: Gaana Bala

The song made a good show with its single track release. When you have Gaana Bala into a track, it gets the perfect Midas-touch and there is no chance that the song misses to score brownie points. Premgi Amaran peps up the song with his intro. The lyrical lines are quite witty that adds more energy into the track

July Madham
Voices: Naresh Iyer

Let us put it this way… If this was just a background score, it would have been the best ever intensifier to an emotional scene. The amalgamation of ¾ waltz rhythm and the orchestral factors give an impeccable output. Of course, Naresh Iyer does a decorous job and his voice takes us through the winds of pure music.

Moonu Kodi
Voices: Chinna Ponnu, Manicka Vinayagam

After a long time, we tend to experience a fast-folk number. We’re sure this track should have more joyful restrains in the theatres. The choice of singers – Chinna Ponnu and Manicka Vinayagam make it more appealing and create a celebratory ambience.

Theme Breeze – African

The music director has used the bunch of African based instruments like Congo drums and the howls with the whistles. Yes, this one is quite engrossing and it will easily let smiles conquer your faces.

Theme Marriage

The blend of strings and fortepianos in the beginning stage offers a romantic feel followed by the orchestral chorus with Nathaswaram enhances the feeling of song.

Theme Storm (Indian)
Singer: Natarajan Sankaran

The opening work on Mridangam gets a fine definition with the mixing followed by the distorted guitars have its realms. The fusion works given a best appeal to the listeners. Yes, it implies an ambience of some funny act happening in a serious situation.

Theme Thunder (Trance)
Singer: Natarajan Sankaran

The music director has exactly pulled down the feel of theme thunder and it has been done with right justice. It sounds like a racy chase and there could be more effect when viewed on the screens.

On the whole, the songs of OKMK looks pretty cool as a sang-froid treat, but it’s not one among the best in the league of this year. Incisively, the short runners of ‘Themes’ might fetch more points on the screens while rest turn to be a mediocre.

Verdict: Okay. Middling in all parts.
