It’s very hard to impress audiences with a teaser that runs for few seconds. But Karthik Subburaj created a magic with his first look teaser of Jiggarthanda. Riding high on the success of Pizza, the director has come up with yet another film that looks so vibrant with its trailer and music that was launched this morning that had Bharathiraja as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “I feel proud to see that many films based in Madurai are booming up. Madurai is always adhered to the synonymous terms of murder, rape and underworld networks. Maybe, it was once a ground of such illegal activities, but has now transformed abruptly. When we glimpse the newspapers, we come across such incidents happening often in Madurai. Our films shouldn’t be a means of instigating such acts. Yes, films need violence, but it should be limited to a certain extent. The young league of filmmakers has advanced a lot with the technical aspects, but there is no depth in storylines. Only the loftiness in the frame is visible, but the nativity lacks a lot.”

Raving about the performance of Siddarth, he said, “Siddarth is such a realistic actor and I’m sure he is someone like Nana Patekar. It’s not just in his songs, but in dialogue portions as well. Filmmaker Karthik Subburaj proved of his adeptness with ‘Pizza’ that didn’t have any monetary involvements to a greater extent, but a strong storyline. I am sure, he is brainy, much like his physique and he will surely succeed.”
