After a long time, director Samuthirakani comes back with his next film titled ‘Nimirndhu Nil’. The film is produced by K.S. Seenivasan under the banner of Vasan Visual Ventures. The film has musical score by GV Prakash and the audio launch recently happened in Chennai.
No Shankar, only Samuthirakani
The event was spangled with more celebrities and when Karu Pazhaniappan came upon the dais, he said, “When Samuthirakkani completed working on the script, he was very much doubtful that the family members of Jeyam Ravi, his father Editor Mohan and elder brother Raja would interfere and make changes to the script. I told clearly told him that it’s not interference, but a stark involvement and affection for their boy to success in the films. Everyone here told that Samuthirakani will become Shankar with this film (for the social concept he has inserted in this film), but I am saying that let Samuthirakkani be himself and win with his own identity.”
Time for hat-trick Dhamaka
On his turn, G Dhananjayan, South Chief of UTV Motion Pictures uttered that Jeyam Ravi has got a line-up of three movies – Nimirndhu Nil, Bhooloham and his other film with Jeyam Raja. I’m sure he will strike a hat-trick bonanza in box office with these films.
No more working with Ravi again
What followed next was a sensational speech with a jocular statement – “I think Dhananjayan told that Ravi will make a strong comeback keeping my previous movie ‘Aadhi Bhagawan in mind (the film didn’t perform well in box office). Ravi I assure that I will never ask you to work with me again as your family members might feel bad. All throughout my career, I will keep saying that Ravi is my favourite hero. I am sure that the combination of Samuthirakani and Jeyam will surely create some good impact. It is merely because of their involvement and dedication.”
Cheran’s film DVD, YouTube & theatre release on same day
This was indeed a surprise for all the special celebrities, who had been there for the event. Taking the mike on his turn, the director-actor said, “If the producers tend to release the film on home videos and YouTube on the same day of theatrical release as in Kerala and Mumbai, we can curb down the piracy graph and earn some money for us. I am not concerned about the industry taking this step, but will release my film ‘JK Enum Nanbanin Vazhkai’ on home videos and YouTube on the same day.”
