Fails your expectations.

Set in backdrops of hillside village of Koramalai, the film has MS Bhaskar playing the role of a village head often involved in the hunting. During one such occasion, he is mysteriously killed that leaves the entire village in turmoil. Apparently, his daughter (played by Lakshmi Priya) starts her own investigation to get hold of persons responsible for the murder and so is the bunch of pudden-head constables (Balaji and Venkatesh) under police officer (Nassser) embarking on the same venture.

There is something that odd about ‘Sutta Kadhai’. It would have been a perfect one to read on the script paper, but goes terribly wrong on the screens. Maybe, if Subhu had tried working out this script as a comic book, it would have distinctly fetched good response from voracious comic book readers. Even 30 minutes after the film commences, there is raw dearth of gripping elements that starkly pushes you into the box of restlessness and boredom. Albeit the convincing performance of Balaji and Venkatesh, nothing seems to help the film achieves engrossing elements. Sangili tries his best on his part to keep us in laughter.

In spite of having promising actors like Nasser, Jayaprakash, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, M.S. Bhaskar, Sivaji and many others, director Subhu has failed to utilize the potentials.

Overall, Sutta Kadhai turns out to be a disappointing show.

Verdict: Fails your expectations.
