It has been a long wait for Ilayathalapathy Vijay fans and it happened yesterday on the eve of his birthday. Last evening, the audio and trailer launch of Vijay's Thalaiva took place at a famous five star hotel in Chennai. It was graced by the entire crew of Thalaiva that includes actor Vijay, director AL Vijay, Sathyaraj, Amala Paul, Suresh, Manobala, Rekha, GV Prakash, SA Chandrasekhar, YG Mahendran and many others.
The event commenced with the slideshows of various leaders of all ages like Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Che Guavara, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, Ambedkar and others. Finally as the screen split, Vijay walked amidst of applause and whistles in the auditorium.
Producer Chandraprakash Jain started addressing the special invitees saying that he had never seen such a genuine actor like Vijay ever in his entire journey in film industry. 'When we had planned for a shooting schedule in Sydney, we had around 60 junior artistes invited for the shooting and Vijay sir was accompanied with a couple of guys to take care of him. As soon as the actor got to know that the permission to shoot there was delayed, he instantly gave a call insisting me to get the permission immediately without wasting the money and energy for the larger group of junior artists.
He could have simply enjoyed the moment touring there and later joined the shooting spot, but in contrast remained so focussed for my well being' totted up Chandraprakash Jain, who wrapped up his speech saying there is always a honesty in the words and action of Vijay.
Of the late, Sathyaraj came up for his turn and made a stunning speech that froze everyone there. 'It was so impressive to see all the leaders together, but on pars is disappointing that leaders like Periyar, MGR and Prabhakaran have been missed' said Sathyaraj, which created a moment of pause to all applause and enjoyable moments down there in the event.
'I didn't hear the script so far, but I am so curious to watch this film' said SA Chandrasekhar and actor Vijay stated that he already saw the film and it has come out very well. It was a disappointing moment for many politicians to hear Vijay say nothing about politics.
The most important moment of this event was brought out with Vijay releasing the music CD of Thalaiva and was received by Indian film industry's first PRO and film historian Film News Anandan.
