Muktha Films holds an important place in the pages of Tamil Cinema for churning out remarkable flicks that include Nayagan, Polladhavan, Thillu Mullu, Shimla Special, Suriya Gandhi, Andhaman Kadhali, Kadhanayagan and many more movies. Sprouting from this prestigious banner, the new shrub ‘Muktha Films Entertainment P. Ltd gears up with a new production house owned by Muktha Govind and Priyadarshini Govind for a film titled ‘Sivappu’.

This film directed by Sathya Siva stars Raj Kiran, Naveen Chandra and Roopa Manjari in lead roles. Thambi Ramaiah, Selva, Bose Venkat, Halwa Vasu and Poo Ram are playing important roles. Madhu Ambat cranks camera and N.R. Raghunathan composes music with Kasi Viswanathan handling editing. Following the grand success of ‘Kazhugu’, director Sathya Siva comes up with this film.

Shedding lights on this film, Sathya says, ‘Sivappu (Red) is commonly seen as a colour, but it holds different shades symbolizing – Love, Poverty, Anger, Communism and Violence. My film comprises of all these elements as a package. The film revolves around a group of Eelam refugees on a cut-and-run adventure from the war laden neighboring country, who arrive here with a dream of breathing fresh air of independence and freedom, only to get disappointed.’
