The 17th International Film Festival of Kerala rolled out yesterday, December 7th in Thiruvananthapuram. The event was inaugurated by the Kerala CM Oommen Chandy who said that an exclusive complex for films and the permanent site for holding the IFFK will be announced shortly.
This film fest, which will be on till the 14th of this month, will be attended by over 7000 delegates. Films from Asia, Africa and Latin America will compete for the Suvarna Chakoram award. Superstar Mohan Lal, while speaking at this event, said that the next one week will be the busiest for the movie buffs as some of the best films will be screened at the 11 theatres in Thiruvananthapuram.
