How He Bagged the Offer in Sundarapandian

Actor Soundararaja, who was seen as one of Sasi Kumar’s friends in the recently released Sundarapandian, has said that when he first met director SR Prabhakaran to request a role in the film, the director rejected him outright stating that he wouldn’t be suitable for the role as it required him to speak the Madurai slang. In an effort to bag the role at any cost, Soundararaja mastered the slang and a made a short film emphasizing on this dialect and eventually managed to capture the director’s attention. Incidentally, he is also a native from Usilampatti which made the job all the more easier for him.

The actor is happy to have a got a good start in Kollywood and has signed up some good offers including the Sasi Kumar starrer Kutti Puli and another film to be directed by Engeyum Eppothum fame Saravanan and produced by Tirupathi Brothers.
