Vishal while speaking to the media said, “ Avan Ivan hangover is over and now I am ready for Veddi. Of the two films in which I am acting, one of them is an action film. The films Sandai Kozhi and Thimiru were great hits in my cinema career. I felt like to do an action oriented sensational film at this point of time. I asked Prabhu Deva whether we can do a film. He got ready immediately. This film Vedi is a remake of a Telugu film. We cannot say that which film will be a hit in cinema. A new director can only narrate a story. We only should think that where to have the song sequence or fight sequence. Even in spite of this, some of the films are flops. I felt it is a safe bet to remake a film which is already a great hit. I am now in a great endeavour to go to the next level of acting. Many are asking me that why I have committed music composer Vijay Anthony for this film Vedi. You know one thing. Vijay Anthony and I are class mates when we were studying in Loyola College. We both use to saunter the big ground talking stories. It is a great mistake for not utilizing him in my films. Now I have got him. To prove his friendship, he has composed hit bits.”
