Superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Rana’ took off grandiosely in the studios of AVM in Chennai. Following by a Pooja that was attended by Superstar’s most favorite pals and film celebrities, the film started rolling in the backdrops of a huge set that erected in Studios. Since Rajnikanth fell sick due to food poison, he couldn’t attend the event but others made up for the occasion that includes the hot and gorgeous Deepika Padukone, who appeared in a beautiful red saree that gave her a glorious look.

Speaking on the occasion, Director K.S. Ravikumar said, “Rana is set in backdrops 17th century and has Rajnikanth appearing in three roles but with more get-ups. The actor has strained a lot over getting everything perfectly. The film will be shot for 7 months followed by post production work. A.R. Rahman has already completed the complete set of songs and the first one featuring Rajnikanth and Deepika Padukone was shot today…”

Soundarya Rajnikanth cleared off speculations on airs about the connection between ‘Sultan The Warrior’ and ‘Rana’ saying that there is nothing common between these films.
