‘Nothing is permanent in this wicked world - not even our troubles’. Said Charlie Chaplin and even after years, this line stands out as a the most memorable quotation as everyone can relate it closer to their lives. Charlie Chaplin was someone, who got beyond the status of ‘A Comedian’, ‘A Clown’ and established a prominent status in world cinema through his satirical concept.

His life was meant for dedication towards films and nothing else was his passion. Much more than an artist, he has been acclaimed as the most prolifically influential personality and changed the course of political arena.

Chaplin's first talking picture, The Great Dictator, an act of defiance against Nazism, was filmed and released in the United States one year before the U.S. entry into World War II. Chaplin played the role of "Adenoid Hynkel" Dictator of Tomainia, modelled on German dictator Adolf Hitler. This made him more familiar across the far-flung corners of the globe.

Well, it’s not just on his birthday we remember him, but he plays a vital role in bringing laughter in our everyday life through his masterpieces.
