March 12 – A Friday Of Hopes For Kollywood
Thursday March 11, 2010

This weekend isn’t about big tickets, main league of actors and has no substantial reasons to watch out for a usual moviegoer. But again, even the trade analysts haven’t predicted the results of these films hitting screens on tomorrow (March 12).
Maathiyosi marks the comeback of filmmaker Nanda Periyasamy and features newcomers along with ‘Kanchivaram’ fame Shammu in lead roles. The story revolves around 4 ruffians whose life undergoes rapid change after a girl entering into their lives.
Azhagana Ponnudhaan seems to be loosely based on Malayalam movie Rathi Nirvedham. There haven’t been enough promos for this film, but ‘Namitha’ factor can alone sometimes turn the spotlights on this film.
Yathumaagi is reported to be a clean entertainer with romance and comedy laced together on equal quotients. The film features newcomer Sachin and Sunaina in lead roles and is directed by R. Bala Kumar. Sakthi Sangavi and Mohan Sangavi have produced the film under the banner of Chozha Creations. The only added value for the film is the songs tuned by James Vasanthan.
Let’s hope these films do well and succeed at box office and keep logging to this column for the exclusive reviews.
