An Interesting Friday To Watch Out For….
Monday January 25, 2010

After experiencing mediocre results with Pongal releases, the film buffs are high-spirited with upcoming big tickets in February. Much prior to it, this month end is gonna be a Friday of 4 releases – Jaggubhai, Goa, Tamil Padam and Dhairiyam.
Sarath Kumar’s ‘Jaggubhai’ has become cock-a-hoop talk of town with its negative publicity pertaining to unofficial release of film in home videos. The promotional bites of Kollywood celebrities for this film have indeed turned spotlights. Buzzes are that Sarath Kumar has re-shot some sequences with an alternative climax.
‘Tamil Padam’ needs no introduction as the producers have been randomly airing hilarious spoof promos on various Tamil films. RJ Shiva takes on the lead role and a song with meaningless lyrics (picked from the songs of ‘Harris Jayaraj’ and ‘Vijay Anthony’) has emblazoned the film yet more finely.
'Goa’ – Venkat Prabhu’s successive hits of ‘Chennai 600028’ and ‘Saroja’ have two crème de la crème factors highlighting the film. Preferably, ‘A’ certificate could gradually cause negligence of family audiences and we’ll have to await the release.
Last on the list is ‘Dhairiyam’ – a film directed by debutant Kumaran, who enacts the lead role as well… Though, there’s nothing left to mention about this flick, it really makes us overcome such disbelief that Kumaran has nearly spent 8-figure money for marketing and promotional activities…
